
Jon Massengale is the founder and Managing Director of Speed City Broadcasting, a motorsports media company launched following the announcement that Formula 1 would return to the United States with the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. An experienced entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for automobiles, technology, and media, Jon built Speed City into a respected multi-platform motorsports brand covering Formula 1, endurance racing, MotoGP, and emerging automotive technology.
Jon hosts Speed City’s Formula 1 programming on the SiriusXM Formula 1 channel, providing pre- and post-race coverage alongside renowned broadcasters Jonathan Green, Bob Varsha, and Chris Medland. He also co-hosts Wheel to Wheel F1 with Medland for SiriusXM and hosts Sunday Night with Speed City, syndicated through Audacy and heard in Austin on Talk 1370.
Beyond studio broadcasting, Jon serves as a live commentator and public address announcer for premier international racing series including Formula 1, MotoGP, and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), contributing to coverage of some of the world’s most significant motorsport events.
Under Jon’s leadership, Speed City Broadcasting has expanded its reach across terrestrial radio, satellite radio, streaming, podcasting, and digital media, establishing a loyal audience of passionate motorsports fans while building strategic relationships throughout the global racing industry.
